Large Vehicle Movement

The Biggest Firework Festival in the UK is due to take place at Catton Park on Saturday 7 September 2024, with the fireworks commencing at 8.30pm.

There will also be a fair and several food stands.

The large fair vehicles will have to travel through Walton on Trent and it is planned that this will take place on Wednesday (4 Sept) and Friday (6 Sept) between midday and 3pm and again after the weekend... Read More »

Temporary Road Closures - Station Lane, Walton on Trent

Derbyshire Highways Hub have recently implemented 2 Temporary Road Closures for Station Lane, Walton on Trent.

The 1st runs from 16th July to 6th August 2024 and the 2nd from 6th August to 24th December 2024.

It does state the road would be opened sooner if the bridge

New Signs

New Signs in an attempt to assist dog owners to keep the village of Walton on Trent clear of dog mess are going up on posts near you.

To help, the Parish Council have also provided poo bags in a container below the signs.

Please Use and keep the village clean.

There are two QR codes on the sign, one is to report dog fouling and the other is to report defaults in the road, such as pot holes.
